I was born in a family of freedom fighters in July 1945 in a small village Dhaulpur near Batala in district Gurdaspur Punjab. Passed my Higher Secondary Examination from Khalsa College Higher Secondary School Amritsar. Studied Mechanical Engineering at Ramgarhia Polytechnic Phagwara and ran my own manufacturing business for 10 years in the same city and landed in the US in 1980. 

Very early in life this question had always haunted me that if the purpose of life is to just grow up, get some education, earn some money, get married , produce some children, and die, this is what everybody else is doing then what the need was to throw me into this mess. While searching for the answer to this question I travelled to Village Bhakna in Amritsar district and met Baba Sohan Singh Bhakna , founder president of Gadar Party established in the US in 1913 and he showed me the path on which I have been walking since then , one way or the other.

After retiring from Fermi National Accelerator Lab in 2010 , I founded a Not-for-Profit Corporation , Dheean Pukardian Inc in Naperville Illinois with a mission to help college going girl students from underprivileged families to complete their education and regain their lost status in society. To this day about 900 students have graduated with our financial assistance.

PAGRI was established in Feb 2021, and I was given the Sewa of treasurer which I have been performing to the best of my ability since then. Fight for freedom from the British started by my elders has evolved into fight against ignorance on the part of the farmers of Punjab. On one side we have farmers in Punjab who are making every possible effort to save Punjab`s agriculture and there is an ignorant majority who set fire to Parali and go home to sleep. PAGRI is trying to change this short-sighted attitude and save Punjab from an impending disaster.
